14 Examinations
The higher education ordinance contains the basic rules concerning degrees. These state that only the degrees specified in Appendix 2 of the higher education ordinance (the so-called degree ordinance) may be issued in higher education at basic and advanced level. Umeå University has supplemented the national rules by establishing a local degree ordinance.
